Anybody know what this bit of shit is?

I think it might have something to do with the PCV crap that was fitted to my new GRiSO. It wasn't plugged in and the PCV had shat itself and been replaced by a somewhat sub-par map.

I have a feeling it might be an 'O2 Optimiser' sold as part of a PCV set up which is odd as this thing has a non standard, probably wide band, O2 sensor fitted and why would you want to interfere with the signal from that to the PCV? Also I think this set up is usually bundled into a package with a map where the lambda sensor input is turned off so, once again, what's even the point of trying to 'Fool' the signal?

Perhaps I should smash it open and see what's inside? Probably gerbils or something........

I will release the gerbils and see what they are. My guess is a 20c resistor.

For certain it is an "optimiser" but it's usage is doubtful on a good day - if an average day, totally worth less.

Yes a resistor or two, including maybe a variable resistor. May be a good example of a bad example!

Thought it was. I'll pull it apart tomorrow and see what it actually contains in its little black box.

It's been nearly ten years since I handled one, but that may be the "Auto-Tune Module" that piggybacks on the PCV.

Nope, just looked at my classified advert photos, the Auto-Tune thingy has a wide band O2 sensor attached...
