The GRiSO, a class act

The other day cruising around the suburb a Harley came clattering past and it occurred to me that the Grisos don't need to shout "look at me"

I bought the GRiSO because they looked to be an iconic motorcycle.    She's lived up to my hopes big time.

To tidy up the bits & pieces that I felt would improve the look has been an ongoing process but I've done all that I intend to at last.

I've been concentrating lately on doing something about the last obvious unpainted bits of plastic.

The black aluminium anodised rear brake reservoir turned up last week and I decided to get rid of the chromed plastic rings that don't
look so hot to me.

This is how she looks now, I get comments most times I'm out riding so I must have got something right.

Can you tell me what I need to buy to have my rear brake reservoir look like yours? I’d like to get rid of the plastic one.

where did you get the seat cover from ?

It's the original cover.

I covered the back part of the seat with teflon film and made a female fibreglass mould from it.
I made the fibreglass tailpiece from it.
I peeled back the vinyl seat cover past the transition and with a new snap off knife blade cut the foam.
Next I teflon taped the back of the foam and made a fibreglass collar.
I Fixed this in place and had a base to restaple the cut down vinyl to.
I repeated the process making a fibreglass return that I could drill and tap to hold the tailpiece in place. It sounds a lot more complex than it is.
