| I've been meaning to post, smugly, about how awesome my GRiSO has been getting, on its own and with some more tweaks. Smoother, more powerful, less surge. Playing with tire pressures has really paid off.
Then yesterday I lost, oh, 75% of the power?
Runs smooth, just imagine a v35 trying to haul the GRiSO's bulk. Also I noticed the idiot red triangle flickering on, fast and uneven at high revs.
Dash was showing 17 MPG at 40-45-50 PMH, though of course I was in 3rd most of the time. It wants to stall, and will on occasion.
I just idled it. It didn't want to start, stalled a couple times, then as I'm standing there glaring bullets at it, the idle sounding like it's got a potato up its ass, and the sound changes radically, back to normal, then back to sucking, and it goes into some sort of cycle like that. My guess, a sensor has packed up. But which one? Or I could have spudbutt myself.
Ideas? | |

| The first thing that comes to my mind is the poxy spark plug boots and arcus interruptus. Can you hear or see crackling arcs withing the plug well?
Here's a procedural from Micha up at Moto International here in Seattle. It's an easy fix if this is the culprit. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special

Forgot about this part, it's at the top of every GRiSO ghetto page, under the banner... 12425 --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special

| And here I thought that was your zip code!
No...no gas smell. Didn't ride it today....don't feel like dealing with the sketchiness. I idled it. It's idling perfectly.

| Whip the HT lead covers off and start the bike, preferably somewhere dark, warm it up and look and listen for the spark 'Snapping' to earth around the plug caps. Its usually both visible and audible.

| or the crank sensor is packing it in...not too big a job, the 02 being dead con do a light version of this this, as can a flooded out charcoal evap, system...given your symptoms good chance the fuel filter has packed it in | |

| Crank sensor...charcoal canister, fuel filter...none of these sound particularly intermittent...Are they?
This is not a snotty comment, I'm just trying to get my head around this.
Care to expand on any of these ideas?

| crank sensor only intermittent when hot , charcoal belches only sometimes usually after an over fill, coils are bad to crack cores and run fine for a while and then after 30-40 minutes start shorting from heat expansion, fuel filters plugging up bike runs fine when run gently, but it starves when run hard speed sensor works great dry acts up wet, then for a few days till it dries out then goes back to working.
lots of possibilities
