Hi, I live in Munich and own a GRiSO 1100 since 2009 (bought it used with 800 km). Following some links cocerning "startus interruptus" I found this forum. Actually I only had the problem once when cruising in Austria, so I am still looking for the simplest solution

Welcome - I read that Austria are to ban motorcycles over 95dB on certain roads this month with 220 euro fine if caught so it’s best to avoid that part of the world anyway

Yeah right, but fortunately the registration certificate of my GRiSO says 88 dB.

Welcome to the Ghetto, Tristano! My first GRiSO was a red 1100, sweet!

As a retired apologist and image spinner, I am still working on the explanation for my three Guzzis that aren't in red livery.

Hi, is there a way to get a message when there are new posts in a forum ? That is do I actively have to check the forum or can I somehow get a message ? Did not know where to put this question ... cheers Tristano

Well, after cleaning the "negative" connections, I did not get the problem again. In the forum I read about the fixes for the 1100 that seem "easy to do". So I will try that, ...

Haha, Pete, nothing interesting to translate. Due to the fact that I also was fighting with "Startus interruptus" I simply offered to support this guy in German language. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Just saw this, Pete.
I’m in Erie, Pa., for my f-i-l’s 98th birthday. What a great guy.
Anyway, the GRiSO’s made this run several times, so rode the Stornello up here. Great fun.
As for translating, Cantaloop is from the Northern Eifel, so even other Germans can’t understand what he says.
I’m kidding, of course, as my German genes are from Swabia, (Schwaben, Schwabenland or Ländle). My late Uncle Winfried would get frustrated when I would try to converse with him in “school German.” His dialect was so strong I could not make out his words, much less decipher his meaning.
Seriously, Cantaloop was, as he says, just offering to help the OP with the SI issue.
As a thread hijack for your and beetle’s benefit, the Stornello is running great. That die-at-idle issue seems to be history. I added the sump extender and made sure the TB was all clean. I still think that the little beast “runs hot,” but that is more anecdotal than scientifically confirmed, so maybe just my overactive imagination.
Best to all,
Bill

Heres something I find interesting but weird . The Jutes, Angles n Saxons arrived here about 460 , the Romans leaving, to wet to much VD and Guzzies to make back home. The Britons of the time were pushed westward to Wales, the Welsh can converse in Welsh to Bretons in Breton (North West France) directly although separated for 100s of years. Can’t really understand how three Germanic tribes combined to converse in Engslick or how is spread.? I’ve never been further North than York back then it must have been an epic journey ? Still in the Laxdala sagas Ulm says my husband is going back to Norway on Wednesday (from Iceland) 900 miles across the North sea !! Unbelievable

Hmmmmm.
Mebbe my Uncle Winfried's Swabian dialect was really Welsh?
