| Not much. I had to whip up some adapters. I used 8mm stud nuts. Also, I had to attach the "halo" lights to the wiring. | Main 'learnings' I had: 1. It is way easier to get something that fits inside the existing shell even if you have to drill the shell; cos most (TBH I've only tried three & none fitted) over-the shelf universal 7 inch shells don't fit the fancy indicator support. Alternatives include (like Mark's approach) to ditch the shell completely. 2. Angel eye headlamp (LEDPerf is what I fitted) looks cool but the light pattern and illumination weren't a massive upgrade given quite a high price (except in certain areas where the lumpy bits were pointing ). I don't do loads of night riding so happy to take the cosmetic daytime upside 3. Websites never give you enough info to work out whether their shells/headlamps etc will fit or are compatible - it's mainly suck it and see. Just finished a Guzzi V50 project that easily took std universal 7 inch shell but then struggled to get a std 7 in headlamp to fit it (more modification). 4. Websites claiming their kit fits GRiSO 1200 8V are rarely correct (they just listed their product against every bike known to man) I'm currently running an LEDPerf headlamp in the original Guzzi shell using 'modified' std 7inch shell outer ring bits to attach it [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| I've got this at Christmas, as I was not satisfied with lighting at night. Now, it is perfect. Installation of this kit has been done even by dilettante as me within half an hour. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Only complication was diameter of light cap was bigger then width of support on front fork. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]But inserting of one washer up and one down solved it. | |
