| Well done. I think that's the last turkey in the shop in Oz. I don't believe there are any more Grisos on the floor. Now you have to do all the stuff the factory didn't do and tune it properly! Pete | |

Pete Thank you - I got it from a bloke in Sydney who claimed it was one of the last few sold here, who am i to argue. It is stock, so i guess it will need re-mapping and a new pipe? its a little different to my old lemans

| It doesn't *Need* remapping but the stock map is pretty pedestrian so it's recommended. Choose the pipe you want first before going the map as Mark has exhaust specific maps.
What will need doing is greasing of the swingarm bearings and shock linkages.

Pete Hey Pete! I just bought exactly the same bike up here in Canada. I've done really nothing to it yet, wanting to see what Moto Guzzi wanted me to feel when I ride it. That being said, what would be the most important "upgrade" that I should be looking at on the horizon. It's a 2017, so I think the tappets are rollerized already. Not so keen on the pipes, as the bike makes a helluva lot of noise stock and my wife is already complaining that she can hear me coming. Great bike. Cant wait for us to get to know each other a little better! Thanks, Ray

Thanks, Ray I have heard lots of complaints over the years about how ugly, heavy, or too quiet the stock can is, but this is the first time I can recall anyone complaining about it being too loud. FWIW, I like its sound -- and I'm no fan of the LPSL crowd. I like its looks, too, tho not everyone shares my view. Too heavy? Yes, but so am I, so I try not to be too critical. Finally, that your wife complains that she can hear you coming is no worry at all; if she complains about being surprised when you do come home, well, that might be grounds for worry. Congrats on the new GRiSO; it looks great and will give you miles of smiles. Bill

| Stock can or not, the grumblery nature of the stock tune is transformed into a turbine smooth tower of power with a Beetle map and the tune Pete recommends. The aftermarket can of choice seems to be the Mistral High Pipe. With the db killer left in it provides a nice improvement to the stock sound without being loud. | The Zard pipe is another good option. Mark has an excellent map for it and the sound is very nice with the dB killer in place. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |
