| Just watch out for the Toyota V8 Land Cruisers with all the windows blacked out - you will not count. But welcome, Mike, to our little bit of international paradise, where GRiSO, GRiSista and Guzzista are all welcome (even a few others too).

| Looks like a 2010? Has it been rollerised?
Is the bike with you in Dubai? The faded plastics would suggest it is. And what's with the odd shiny stuff on the tyres?
Welcome. | |

| I saw this one on FB. It’s a 2011 with only 400km on it. I very much doubt it’s been rollerised.

| Well that's the first order of business then. Most likely a 'B' kit bike. | |

Thanks Don Abbondio! i'm already aware of those ones blacked out completely. to fight them i drive a nissan patrol, 5.6l, white, completely blacked out windows (previous owner did it) at least i'm driving a tank too. but your're right the little white guzzi can't stand a landcruiser.

Welcome. Hi Pete, yes it's with me in dubai and the shiny odd stuff on the tyres? haha got some new ones as they were from 2015. there will be no glammer shiny winy at all once i get to ride it...... i think this rollerising thing has been not done yet. unfortunately there's actually no proper guzzi dealership in dubai. the ex dealership can still get parts and he knows to maintain and service the grisos..... i have to go there next week and ask him. the question is, should i get this done straight away or should i wait until something is happening. cheers mike

| Straight away Mike - it's not a matter if, it's when, and it will. Better to spend some $$ now and ride into the sunset with a big smile... | |

| Do a bit of research on rollerising. Your bike most likely needs a 'B' kit but check first by looking under the rocker cover. If the plug tube is sealed by an o-ring in the cover it needs a 'B' kit. If there is a circular gasket the same cross section as the actual outer rocker cover gasket it will need an 'A' kit.
Do NOT pull the plug caps off from the top. Lever them up from underneath with a screwdriver through the cooling tunnel in the head just above the exhaust manifold.

| Welcome Mike, I too would recommend getting it rollerized right off. I seen them fail under 10K mi..
Are you getting tires to play in the sand? Sounds like not too many dealers over there.

Thanks man, yeah not many dealers around and very soon i'll find out how reliable they are. i'll get it rollerized for sure ...just curious how much it will be...... sand tyres would be a bit of an overkill therefore i'm driving a v8 nissan patrol..... that machine goes everywhere

| the more i read the more i'm getting scared about the rollerizing issue. if i can't find a proper dealer here i'll be f...ed. and if, they'll probably charging me a ridiculous amount of money | |

Understand the fear. But Pete has posted word & visual directions here that might even get me through the process! I also watched him do one (not mine, darn it) in my Moto Grappa Seriously, in my case -- that for lots of reasons may differ from yours -- Piaggio paid for the parts (c.$1K USD) and, as mine was well out of warranty, I picked up the labor cost (c.$1K USD). If yours is similar, that sounds like -- and is! -- lots of money, but the result is, IMO well worth it. Simply put, there is no other machine on the planet quite like our Grisos. I have four other Guzzis. I love 'em all. But the GRiSO is unique, even among other Guzzis and nothing makes me grin ... and, occasionally, scream like a girl! ... as it does. The first one I rode (at a dealer's demo at the Virginia rally in 2010) was a lovely white one like yours. I caught the bug, and have happily been infected ever since. Best wishes on getting it done, soon, competently, and inexpensively. Bill
