Help! Emissions Label Missing and CA DMV is Pure Evil!

Hi all,

My new to me 8V is missing the emissions label and it would really help me out if someone could lend me one so I can get my GRiSO titled and registered by the lovely folks at the CA DMV   . I know many have probably removed this label, but if anyone out there still has it, I would be eternally grateful. And I'd happily mail the label back to you with a little beer money for your trouble.    It might also work to take a hi-res close up photo of the label and email to me. Either way, please PM me if you can help and I'll give you my address or email address.

I'm trying to figure out where they put them I totally d-stickered my bike, the problem was the stickers come of in 1/8" pieces total pain in the ass

Thanks Cytocycle. I'll call them tomorrow. There are 4 emissions stickers listed for sale, and one label which does not appear to be for sale. I hope that's not the one I need.
I emailed Piaggio customer service and left a phone message last week. They haven't responded. It seems they don't have much interest in helping a used bike buyer.
Guzzi needs to rethink putting these stickers in places where people are certain to peel them off.

I had good luck obtaining such a sticker from a Guzzi shop in San Antonio.  Can't find the contact info at the moment; I think I paid $10 including postage.

Piaggio never helped me, either.

Edit: I forgot that my emission sticker isn't for my year-model. The DMV inspector made sure the sticker was there, the VINs looked good, the can looked OEM...and passed me, no prob. He hardly looked at the sticker, thank God.

Thanks again Chris for pointing me to Harper's. I got the sticker today and it looks good, even the correct year. The guy at Harper's was very helpful and took the time to figure out which one I needed, even though it only cost $5 including postage. I wish I had a local dealer of the same caliber.

But if you did...I doubt it would be a problem. Once your bike is in "good standing" with Die Zustand, you shouldn't have any future issues selling it: if you sell it in CA, you're already OK; if you sell it outside of CA, no one else cares like the PRC does.
