As one of the initial critics, I'll chime in and state that the video was shot in a part of the world with fantastic roads. Some credibility points scored for that.
That said, failure to notice such obvious flaws in MG's literature is a sign that there may be other inaccuracies as well.
BTW, welcome.
Next time you are down this way let me know. There are some beautiful roads that aren't mentioned and really good food spots along the way. This was mostly filmed at Lime Creek and has a few sections I don't care for. Mostly gravel on road or torn up pavement.

You and Pete live for this thing and i appreciate all you bring to the forums. geriatricghetto wouldn't be the same without y'all.
Now If either of you could go back and finish the review (or watch the v85 one) that would be great for my analytics.

Beetle - You have a lot of internet correcting to do as Moto Guzzi labeled the bike to have a "tubular steel twin cradle frame connected to a single-sided aluminium rear swingarm" and is used pretty much in every publication based off that including my review.
What can I say? You're wrong. It's not a twin cradle frame. No how, no way.
I could show you some of the inaccuracies in Guzzi service manuals too. If they can't get their own service manuals right, the errors created during translation from Guzzi -> Piaggio -> English -> Internet, are not unexpected.
Re the V85, a few misleading facts (cough) were published by Piaggio regarding that motorcycle as well. I shan't be watching your review on that either.

Did you know that according to the manual you are supposed to preload Stelvio steering head bearings to 30 ft/lbs?
Then there was that wonderful interview with some Piaggio spiv talking about the Stelvio where he said it had been produced in two forms, one with a four valve motor and one with an eight valve motor! Their woeful knowledge of their own products is a joke. It's hardly likely that they'd know a twin cradle frame if one leapt up and bit them on the arse!
As to the argument about calling a bevelbox a 'Diff', (which happens a lot.) because it makes it easier for non motorcyclists to understand I think it's a dreadful idea! Making everything 'Easy' is exactly what has got us to the level of lazy and de-skilled we are as a society today!
If I want to fly a bloody aeroplane I should at least have a basic understanding of how one works. The same should be true if you want to ride a motorbike.

Agree. Most unsightly. The man who invented pipe tape should be rolled in an enormous ball of it, and the ball rolled straight into hell! Or was that barbed wire? Never mind. He’d stay nice and cool in there due to the thermal insulating properties.

Couldn't agree more. This was a pre-owned bike so it already had it, but how hard would it have it been to get ceramic coated and actually made it look good *shrugs*

«Moto Guzzi GRiSO is the perfect gentleman's sportbike". Not in this forum its not. It’s a grumphy old mans bike.

The forks are Showa, not Sachs, I posted that on the youtube video. I'm sure there are 1-2 people in the world that care.
Also the running wide in a turn because the rear spring preload is set wrong is a bad thing.
I love the GRiSO's raw visceral power feeling ... not sure how to get that across in a video. I also like the no nanny crap, no traction control, no ABS, no ride modes ... one of the last "new" bikes you could buy like that.
