Does anyone know how to get this apart? The allenhead is out. Thanks. Smile

Add some heat to soften up the Loctite. There is a slot for a screwdriver in the back of the plunger but in most cases it's easier to grab the plunger in the jaws of a vice and wind the lever off it.

Well used plenty of heat, it turned a little bit either way and then snapped off... Crying or Very sad

Apparently you can't buy these separately it's part of a complete unit and cost a small fortune.

Looking at the barrel it appears it might be pinned??? swines! Had to drill it to get it out of the lever.

Read somewhere they had a problem with the plunger winding out.

All this hassle just to fit new levers....Evil or Very Mad

Will make a new one from 10mm ali bar.

I found the plunger, grub screw and barrel on ebay. Think it shipped from Italy. Think it was around $30 usd.
Bike rocked itself off the kickstand while I was putting on my skid-lid. Tackled me and broke the clutch lever. After striping out the allen head, I attacked it with a pair of vise-grips. Messed up the threads on the plunger, wouldn't screw in enough to allow free play in the lever.

Found this. Saves making one.

The rusty bit on mine(grub screw) had already been rounded.

All well then.

Thanks! I just ordered one to keep in reserve for the inevitable day I need it.
