| Hi guys! On my 4th guzzi. First was this, a 2001 Cali Jackal. Went through a few changes. Loved it to death, but sadly had to leave my baby behind when i repatriated to Australia. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| I actually cried when i had to sell my Bella. But i couldnt take it home to Oz with me. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I miss my Bella and my Jackal! I would happily get the same bikes in Oz, but want to experience as many different Guzzis as i can, so i started looking around...... on the wish list are 1400 Cali, Sport 1100, 1100 Sport, anything old and funky, and maybe a GRiSO...... unfortunately when i got home to Oz my budget was extremely limited, so the best i could afford in the short term was a baby Breva 750. It is undergoing transformation...... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Then last week during my daily search on bikesales, I spotted a GRiSO id already seen in the flesh while inspecting a Sport 1100 at a price that i couldnt resist. Rang him that day, took a 3 hour train ride down to brisbane and rode this home. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Farking awesome bike! Had to take it easy on the test ride and most of the trip home as it rained most of the way, but i saw redline in top gear. WOW! LOVE THIS BIKE! Its just a bit loud, with Termis without baffles. LOUD! Then as i was coming into town, ten minutes from home i almost ended up in the front seat of a commodore. Some dick decided to overtake 10 cars at once. Heading straight at me in MY lane. Five times i flashed my high beam, but he kept coming. I slammed on the anchors and came within a bees dick of a head on collision when he passed me ON MY LEFT, in the shoulder. Shit my pants! Next day i ride the Breva to work cos i dont want the small town cops pulling me over for LOUD pipes on the GRiSO and on the way home after work, im hit by a bus! The universe is trying to kill me! Breva may be a write off. Woo Hoo! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bent bars, trashed exhausts, foot levers, pegs, master cylinder, mirrors, blah blah blah. But i still got this. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]112 horses and 11 cows. Dyno tested. Friggin awesome bike. Just have to ride real slow, Quiet as possible and inconspicuously til the baffles arrive from ebay. | |

| Dont plan on modifying the GRiSO...... much....... It is damn near perfect as it is. I might just strip the paint off the rockers and polish them up like chrome, put the radiator the right side up, weld the cracked radiator cover, polish it up like chrome and put it back on, fit a number plate relocator like i did on my Bellagio and put a new fly screen on it., oh and strip the paint off the headers and polish them back up like chrome....... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Just need my Breva back on the road, so i can go to work on the GRiSO. Stay tuned. | |

| It doesn't have 112 horses, really.
What year is it? Has it been rollerised?

| So..oil cooler cover is cracked...hence its absence...but...
Why is the oil cooler upside down?

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Yep, rollers in place under warranty by Don Newell. 112.6 horses at the rear wheel if you can believe the writing on the bit of masking tape under the "1st run 105.59" ......

| Why is the cooler upside down? Good question. Dunno. I will ask the P.O. This is a 2008 model. Was originally white, got a sparkly midnight blue paint job from previous owner. I really had my heart set on a red GRiSO, almost went for this 850, but my blue 1200 came up at a similar price........ decisions, decisions,......red, no oil cooler, 75 horses, nice sparkly silver motor. (Looks best to me.) Or..... 1200cc, black engine, same price...... i can live with blue. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| My respect for Newell is very low. My respect for dyno sheets is even lower. Looks like even on that graph, which was presumably a full throttle pull, there is a hole you could drive a bus through in the midrange.
Sorry, I tire of silly bragging about power.

| Pete, all i know is the bike flies. Low range revs are a bit lumpy, no probs mid revs, really quick pick up over 5000 revs.... The HP numbers arent really so important to me. I would have been happy with the 850s 75 horses. 75 Was plenty enough on the Bellagio. Not bragging. Just telling it how it is. (Or was told to me......) 112 HORSES! WOO HOO! | |

| I think it's probably got the original map in. That map is a disaster. Read it and send it to either Mark or I and we can confirm. Believe me, if you like it now you'll like it a lot more when it's been un-fucked. | |

| Beetle, the blue line (egads! (Who says egads these days? ) ) on the graph was the original tune/map, 2 hours of tuning before the red line, which is smoother. Unless im reading it wrong? Anyway Pete, nice to know it can be improved. Im a bit tech ignorant, (only good with google maps) .........send the bike? Or the map? Where? | |

| Well if you have the cables and a laptop and reader you can pull the map and email it to us. If you don't then you need to either find someone who does or take it, (The bike.) to a competent shop. | |

| I am worn out reading this thread, but enjoyed it. Oh, welcome from the top of Virginia. Liked all the pix; always liked Jackals, tho never had one. I have beetle map on my GRiSO ... and Norge and Stornello. Stupendous. Do it. Anyway, don't have the time (or coffee) to reread to see from where you were repatriated, so what's that story? Bill P.S. I never speak "egads" out loud -- at least not when sober -- but do write it now and then. | |

| Egads - thyne world is changing, shyte!
Bring back the good ole days.
Guzziholic, from memory you were on GuzziTech and were based in Singapore I believe. Many of us here have been banned from that site - no loss, really. I enjoyed your journey with the Bellagio, some years back. Welcome. We know you are in Australia, I know it's only a tiny island, but could you be a bit more specific?
