| I love the GRiSO, but sometimes my throttle hand goes all pins and needles and after a days ride my clutch hand hurts when pulling the clutch. Now the last thing only happens when racing around in the mountains which will not happen here in holland, but the pins in needles in the right hand is common. It does seem to be less of a problem with my summer gloves and i'm sure some of my whiteknuckle riding doesn't help either Some days its not there, other days it is. I'm not looking for risers, the position is perfect. I'm just looking for possible solutions. i did do a search, but risers is just not an option. I'm too young for that stuff Just kidding, but with my 1.82m the position on the bike is good and i can ride all day without any other issues So do you guys have any experience in other handle bars and or lever sets? Will heavier weights do anything? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| You could try adding heated grips which provide a larger diameter grip to hang on to, and obviously a source of heat that might help your situation. | |

| If the vibes are from the bike, it "might" be fuelling. However, different bar end weights do make a difference. If you have additional things on you handlebar mounts, you may need less weight, else try more. The aim is to compensate the vibes coming through the bars, as this is a resonance thing.
Does it happen around certain revs?

| I took my bars off and inserted a piece of old inner tube around the bar at the steering attachment point and replaced. It helped a little. make sure you tighten the bolts nice and firm. | |

| Are you certain the throttle body balance is correct? 8V's are very sensitive to TB balance. Heavy clutch can be improved by fitting the later Cali 14 clutch.

| whack on a throttle lock, then at least that hand can have a break. I've had a NEP one on all my bikes since.... ever. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]then everything else mentioned | |

| Grip Puppies. I love 'em.
Radial clutch master cylinder. My pull went from ~12kg to ~8kg.

| I use this to give the throttle hand a rest. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]But I have also found playing with bar angles helps best - I've the Jota-style multi adjustables on the V7C & Tarozzis on the Special. For the GRiSO you might need something else. Experiment. | |

| Yah. The stock bars always gave me wanker's wrist. I've got Jota bars on my GRiSO too.

I was going to suggest this, Dave, but you beat me to it. I've had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and find that even in warm weather a little heat from the grips does help. | I have the same issue. Throttle hand only though. Starts after about an hour or so. Get a tingling feeling as if it’s caused by a high frequency vibration. Makes me want to straighten and shake my fingers to relieve it, which is sort of awkward when you’re trying to hold the throttle steady.
Never had a drama with the clutch hand even when rowing up and down the gears in the twisty bits. This makes me think that it’s less to do with vibration, and more to do with the fact that the clutch action helps to stretch and massage the fingers and joints, whereas the fingers on the throttle hand are held somewhat in the same position. Yet to work out a fix.

It's your Termi.
You serious? Are they known to cause vibration or similar issue with resonance etc?

| Gym ............ wrist curls help. I have suffered all my life with numb hands and sore wrists after long rides. Hardly ride now but age has caught up with me and hands/wrists hurt every day ............. unless I exercise them. Then there are these from Racing Boy in Thailand I think. | Haha. great comments I'll have a look. I did meet another GRiSO rider, German, on one of the passes. He also had other brake and clutch set mounted. Looked sweet too and a Rizoma handle bar. Guess i'll have to play around a bit | |

| I have a Rizoma bar. Not sure what model it is as I pinched it off Mark Salkeld's wreck that I bought. It's probably got a part number on it. It's narrower and has a tad more pull back and with my risers from Onur it works very well, FOR ME. One thing I have done is fit Stelvio bar end weights. This was originally so I could fit hand guards but I find them less than effective and unbelievably ugly so nowadays I rely on heated grips and not riding in really awful weather. Yeah, softcock, I know. Thing is I have arthritis and am 62 years old so I don't give a shit! Pete | |

| Hi I used to have that problem. Carpel tunnel surgery took care of it. I am a tractor wrench and had to quit pounding on wrenches with the plam of my hand. All is good now. | |

| I put grip puppies on last year after getting tingling from vibrations. Seem to help a lot. I have Mana bars and Onur(?) risers, my back wouldn't be able to ride far without them. This weekend I took the grip puppy off the clutch side as I was getting painful fingers, just testing to see if it is due to having an extra reach to lever. Had no comfort problems yesterday, soon forgot that one side is fatter than the other. | |
