For those who installed the Arrow headers, what’s the trick?
The big flange things at the top are so far away from the motor and there is exhaust pouring out the front.
If it does sound mean!

Pics of your problem please? I have Ti headers and there was no special trick to fitting them and no leaks. You have got gaskets in there?

Gaskets are in. Will post in the AM.
Thanks!

It won’t screw in any more. Did I need to trim the length of the pipe before inserting? Afraid I cocked the whole thing up. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The 1100's and the 1200's use different headers. Did the arrow site specify that these would fit the 1100? I've not seen them on anything but 8V's.

Yes. These are for the 850/1100 as printed on. The box.
That being said I right fucked the entire works up snapping the head off of one of the bolts. Into a shop it goes.

This is very odd . If the spigot on the end of the pipe isn't long enough for the flange to press the pipe firmly onto the gasket it must of been built incorrectly. It's a very simple piece of engineering.
I know that 850/1100 and 1200 headers have different part numbers and the heads are obviously different so it may simply be that you were sent a set of 1200 headers by mistake but the more I think about it the more I think that different part numbers or not the factory headers are the same.
The Arrow pipes don't use collets do they? I've got them on my 8V but don't remember much about the install because it was all very straightforward.......

No collets. Just the flange. The flange does sit quite proud of the port. I'd suspect the gaskets.
