| I was surprised to notice my rear tire so worn down after only 3,700 miles. It’s a Pirelli Angel GT, which I thought was fairly durable. I ride it pretty hard, but geez, is that normal? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| If I can get even 6K km out of a PR4 GT I feel like the golden eagle has shat! You'd hate to know what I got out of the last Sport Attack, let's just say it seemed to evaporate! Sticks like shit to a blanket though so all is forgiven! | |

| Well I guess it’s not too unusual then. It’s totally worth it, anyway. | |

| My Pirelli Angel GT’s have 2,400 miles on them and show no signs of wear. I can’t imagine them being as worn as yours shows at 5 or 6,000 miles. What kind of roads do you ride on? | |

| I ride a rather bumpy, twisty backroad almost every weekend and I am hard on the throttle at every opportunity, so maybe that’s why it wears so quickly. But my other bike is a much heavier Yamaha FJR1300, and I’ve only changed tires twice in 30,000 miles. (It gets mostly highway miles however) | |

LOL!! I so agree. I bought two of those Sport Attack...love these tires for the handling but I can't even get 2000 miles out of them! My 8V rear tire is currently showing its belt at 1800 miles. lol Going back to Dunlops... | |

| I killed my angels in 3000 miles also, other than the short life they were great tyres. Moved onto Roadtec01's averaging 6500 miles, on 3rd set of these now, have never missed a beat. | |

| PR5's only got 3500kms on my multistrada-started cupping badly. I would be happy with 3500 miles on my GRiSO. | |

| I have read many times the suspension setup can greatly effect tyre (tire) wear. If the same tyres wear less on a heavier Yamaha perhaps your setup is worth investigating ?? | |

| I just recently checked my suspension settings and found that the rear rebound damping had been set much harder than factory specs. I set it to the standard position and also adjusted spring preload to give the right amount of sag. Did the same on the front too and changed the fork oil. It rides so much better now, I was able to corner with a lot more confidence and the bumps don’t slam my spine any more. Maybe that will help with tire wear too? But I hear from others it’s not that unusual. I do ride full throttle a lot and brake and corner pretty hard. | |
