Fuel spray

Got out with GRiSO 8V this morning after longish warmup, rode a few km's nice and easy and then got somehow worked up and got a serious wrist cramp. Hoodlomed and seventeened around with an open throttle and had heaps of fun. When parking I noticed fuel drops i.e. spray over the starter motor cover and left side pork chop. Nothing dripping on idle, so I'll wash it and go testride again to see if it happens again under varying load, which should be fun... I do remember vaguely having had a similar thing with the V11 but on the right side. Odd.

Not likely to be fuel. More likely oil.

Check the breather hoses and your oil level and airbox for oil contamination.

Will do, thanks. Engine oil level should be fine, though. I checked it two weeks ago and it was in the middle of the markings.

Gearbox breather usually dangles pointing down behind the throttle cam above starter cover - not sure why it would puke anything out but it's in the vicinity...

I took the stains off with detergent and rode a 100 km test run without a drop anywhere. Go figure...Next step is to check the airbox.
