OK, a retired one, and a P-3 driver to boot.
I spent most of last week riding with Larry LaHue, a Florida Guzzista and friend despite his naval heritage.
I rode my GRiSO, and Larry, my Norge. He has a Norge himself, but the dealer wasn’t able to get it serviced in time — the usual “parts come from Italy,” etc., story, tho I detected a whiff of BS in what he told Larry.
But, as we had planned this ride for months, Larry caged up from Ormond Beach and rode mine.
That wasn’t his first time aboard the Big Red Tupperware Beast, as Larry has put lots of miles on my Norge in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, and more over the past several years. It'll likely not be his last, either.
Anyway, the weather and other annoying and unavoidable interruptibles reduced our riding time from a planned bourbon-distillery tour in central Kentucky to a local day ride, followed by a three-day romp in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, & Ohio.
It was grand.
Pix? As we used to say in the Army: “Glad you asked.” :-)
And, as always, it easier to see photos and captions if viewed in "full screen” and slideshow mode.
Larry & Bill Get Lost Countless Times
Best wishes from the top of Virginia,
Bill
