| Still have lots of photos and video to organize from the big Utah/Colorado/Arizona loop, but when we got back to California both the Stelvio and the GRiSO were due for service. Here are a few shots of interest for Beetle - Spark Plug lookies: Don's Stelvio running the Stelvio-8V-FU2-1Lambda-A1CB.2014.04.25.bin map. | Hmmm, Stelvio looks like its a bit lean, GRiSO looks like its way rich. Was a lot of the ride done at higher altitudes?

Pete Yes, a great deal of the ride was at altitudes from 4,000 - 8,000 feet (1,200 - 2,400 M) Additionally, the GRiSO plugs were at the end of their (extended) service life. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special

| The Stelvio plugs were kind of what I expected - a bit lean. I've already sent out the updated map.
The GRiSO plugs aren't too bad, given that they have also been coloured by the stock map over a long period. I'd be interested to see them after a new plugs are installed.
What were the temps like at the higher elevations? I already knew that the existing air-pressure-temp table wasn't that great at high altitudes (thanks to rboe), running lean above 5000 feet in 100 degree weather. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! .

| Agreed Mark, re. the GRiSO plugs. Temps were typically in the 70s-80s daytime and 50s in the mornings/evenings with sections in the 40s at higher elevations.
Once I get back to Seattle this week, I will pull the new plugs to see what's what.
Don's Stelvio is running pretty good right now, yesterday we gapped the valves and replaced fluids, and this morning we synched the TBs. We'll fire in the newest map before a bit of riding tomorrow to see how things go.
As things get dialed in, we're seeing a new found love once again for the mighty Stelvio.

| The cooler temps up high is why you didn't bitch at me about hot legs and surging. At those temps, AFR would have been good. Once it gets hot and you go up in the hills, you may want to curse a bit. I fix. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| The stelvio plugs look about normal for a fuel that has 10% ethanol in it, with a afr about 12.6-13.6.
at least compared to what my stelvio plugs look like I would be curious to try your stelvio map as well, if it is configured for a twin sensor, If not I can alter for the twin sensor xdf.

| Jon, I already have a twin lambda Stelvio map. I'll send it to you to try. There's another user who has it too, but he hasn't been able to test it yet. You two are my first. | Steak, I love that Max feature on the GRiSO... it reminds you what a hooligan you were, even if you don't know where that that took place because you were still on the Gas! | |
