| I recently took my headers off to polish them, and noticed this line in the head that looks a bit like a crack. It could be just a mark from production cast molds. I hope it is. Anyone seen these lines before. Look close at the divider between the two exhaust valves in my picture and you'll see the line. Both heads are the same. My vote casting mark. Not sure why I posted two of the same photo? But the left and right look the same. Probably nothing to worry about. Most likely just casting marks. | |

Can't help myself, I'm trained to look for issues on aircraft all day. I'm gonna bolt up those headers and just ride! | |

| Hell, I would have picked at it, looks like build-up that has flaked off not a crack. | |

| Here's the reason I was poking around in the exhaust area of the heads. The one header is done and ready for install. The other still needs to be polished. I'm using an orbital sander with a piece of super fine scotchbrite pad, and a product called Blue Job. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Nice shine Blades! Mine could use that treatment, but I'm too lazy, so I'm running with the "warmth" of patina. | |
