| No worries, bottom end is fine. Unlike the 'Stelvio from hell' I've been trying to sort for a bloke for several months! It's fucked and it still has a 'Shop' warranty so I have to take it up to them. That's going to be fun as no doubt they'll tell me it's all my fault........ Good luck with that | |

| I guess your NTX is the one that needs kit A? I crossed check all the parts diagrams I have for GRiSO 8V and Stelvio a while ago and found some interesting things. - the shim under the valve spring only appear in Stelvio parts diagrams for year 2009 - 2010, none in GRiSO parts manual over all years - the quantity of the shims stated in the Stevio manual is 8, apparently all valves are shimmed in the factory for those dimpled heads I think Guzzi tried to increase the valve springs preload by shimming them, hoping that it would prevent the valve float that hammers/cracking the DLC coating which you found out under the electron microscope, apparently not very successful back to the question I raised a while ago about the use of new valve spring B013517 in heads that require kit C instead of shim under the intake valves when rollerizing. When Guzzi putting together kit C in early 2014, I believe they already have the new valve spring B013517 in the assembly line for those factory roller engines. I think there is a reason they throw in 4 shims in kit C instead of 4 valve spring B013517 valve springs and best stick to that Having said that, I rollerised my mate 2008 Stelvio using B013517 valve spring for the intake valves two years ago, so far so good, it may not matter at all | |

| I have absolutely no bloody idea!
My guess is that the later valve springs are supposed to obviate the need for the shims but I really don't know.
Sorry, more later, I'm down the pub and Jude and our mates have just arrived!
