Another GRiSO. Clean 08 or brand new ?

In a weak moment I sold my 07 GRiSO couple years back, tried the ADV style motos and didn`t work for me. So I found a very original 08 in great condition locally for a nice deal or a dealer couple hours ride has leftover 16/17 models that we have already arm wrestled price down to another sweet deal.

I will get one or the other this weekend but still going back and forth over which. Not in a position to get both dammit.

What say the speakers of truth?

The 08 will need to be rollerised if it hasn't already been and will require a 'C' kit. Both bikes will need their swingarm and shock linkage bearings greasing.

How many miles on the '08 and who has worked on it?

08 has 20k miles and looks to have the same 2V head as my 07 did, maybe early year? Not sure US got the 8V until 09 releases.

He has stack of maintenance receipts but I didn`t ask what shop he used. The thing is original and very clean. If the 08 does have the 8V we are done and I will just get the new one...

They have the Audace and Eldo at good prices too, going to test sit on them just for fun. I like the Cali Custom but no longer made, just the touring.

Funny...a friend of mine had a red 07 that he regretted to sell so he's getting a 2016 as well.
He rode mine last weekend despite that it only had 250 miles on it and thus under break in, he fell in love all over again.
Should have his next week... Can't wait!

Do the late ones need to come apart to grease up the swing arm/ shock bushings? I seem to remember fittings on the 07.

Yeah they do. Everyone of them.
I'll worry about that after break in though...

In a strange twist of Guzzi fate the dealer says "Hey try the Audace!" and throws me the keys.

In my garage this morning sits a brand new 2016 Audace lol. The dealer in Elk Grove California is blowing out leftover stock Guzzi and when they marked this to $10,999 I had to get it. These retail for $15,490 US so this was too good to pass up.

They still have new 16 and 17 GRiSO starting at $9999 so if in the market give them a call, I still have one on hold just in case lol.

Turns out it was $10,799 so that works too. Only was able to get 100 miles yesterday but sweet motor, kept thinking this motor in GRiSO would rule the world. Certainly not sporty but a ride that keeps you in the moment. This and a GRiSO in garage will make for a nice fun option.
