| Have purchased the following slip on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Don't like the look of the factory muffler and like a little more noise without being over the top. Fitted it today, sounds good (took cat out after first run) and hasn't appeared to caused any problems. Though I haven't taken it on a lengthy ride yet. Tomorrow I will balance TB's etc. Dont know much about EFI so a bit of a learning curve for me coming up. Looking for a map that may suit this can. Not after more horses particularly, just a smoother power delivery, good mid range and better economy if possible. Any thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated | |

| Dunno if Mark has done something for the qD? I'll be travelling through your area on Monday with cables and laptop on board. I can walk you through it and upload the map if you wish?

| How many hours are you from Bundaberg? I fly in there at 1.55 on Sunday to pick up this shitty small tank Stelvio. It hasn't been rollerised but it's only got 12,000km on it so I reckon I'll risk riding it home. I was planning on giving it a TB balance and new map before I left but if you want a walk through I could probably grit my teeth and struggle through the lurching, farting and shithouse fuel economy to the Sunshine Coast. If you've got tools to hand I could do all that shit in your garage and walk you through a map upload as well. I was thinking if I found out that the Stelvio has already shat it's tappets I could then leave it with Wayne and get Porky to drag it back to Bungendore and I'd hop on a plane. The weather isn't looking great so I might take that option anyway, even though t will render the bike a lot less cheap! Pete | |

| Nope. Maybe. I can’t remember. So many GRiSO's, so many maps.
No QD map in my map pile. Try the Ago or Zard, maybe?

| I'm about 4 hrs (ish) south of Bundy. I have nuff tools to get to the rocker gear and let you check out the tappets. Not sure about the weather tho. Like you say.. Not looking all that good.. But then, Monday is still 3 days out and the BOM tend to not shoot so straight at that distance. | |

| Hi Beetle. Well the qd is supposedly designed for the GRiSO. I was even thinking about the 8v factory with rollers. Which of the Agos or Zards maps would you hazard a guess at? Something to take out the snatchyness and help improve economy would be nice. | |

| They’re all supposedly designed for the GRiSO. Ago Black X map most likely. Heck, even the Mistral NodBk map is worth a shot. It seems to work where nothing else will. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Looking at the dimensions of the pipe the Zard was my first thought too. Basically though I have I think got most of the *Common* maps available and I'm pretty sure we could load up something that while it might not be perfect would be a fuquetonne better than what's in it. The Ago conical map seems to be very responsive to tweaking CO to ameliorate any small deficiencies down low in my experience. It's my sort of 'Go To' map especially with machines that may of been or have been *Fiddled* with. Pete

| Goodo. One would hope this 2017 vintage is virginal, and no ape has been at its nethers. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| yes its virginal and ape free..at this stage.. Balanced the TB's today. High speed was good. Only needed to adjust one slightly for idle. Did a TPS reset and it set at 4.6. I believe it should read 4.8 or so. Is this a problem ?
Also wondering about the tappet clearances to suit your maps Beetle. Will setting them to your specs on factory mapping be of benefit or no ?
Still not sure which map to purchase. Tho the Zard does look similar..? Don't want to get one that doesn't suit, then have to purchase another etc.
Looking like Pete wont be able to make it this week due to crap weather so I might delay until if/when he can get up this way and hopefully try a couple of different maps. In the meantime I'll keep riding.

| 4.6/4.7/4.8 is OK.
Valve clearances: 0.1mm & 0.15mm
Setting at these specs with the factory map is fine. You should rebalance the TB’s after, and reset the trims as well.
You won’t have to pay for more than one map.

| FreshEgg (Jin) is running a QD on his 8V, you might ping him. I'm not wure what map he is running, but the GRiSO goes good. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special | |

| Thanx Steak. Ive ended up with the Ago X black map.(thank you beetle) So far so good. Still playing with the trims trying to get the plug colour a nice grey without the black soot. We've had some pretty wet weather so its only been the last three days I've been able to play with it.
Pete made a good call re the weather. Hope he still manages to grab the Stelvio. (You're more than welcome if need be to use my shed to check the top ends Pete.) . A shout out to FreshEgg..if you happen to read this would love to know what your experience with the QD has been.

| Yeah, thanx Mark. So far all good I think. Started with the trim at +2. I've been adjusting it down over the last couple of days. Did 300 odd k's today at -2. Felt good, got home and checked plugs. Still slightly rich now set down to -3. I think that will nail it. Will take it for another run tmoz.
Still a little snatchy at low speed but nowhere nearly as bad as stock. Not sure what change is needed to fix that. ??
