Hello,
Can one of you fine folks let me know if I'm missing a nut off the rear shock clevis?

I just couldn't find a picture of one assembled or a good parts catalogue drawing.
here's an upside down pic

Thanks

No real witness mark of a nut/washer having been applied there.
The clevis on the standard Sachs shocks are threaded, therefore loctite should be sufficient, and the red stuff in your photo looks like it has been applied.

Matris and Ohlins don't have a threaded clevis, therefore they need a nut and washer, and loctite.

There is no nut as the bolt screws into the threaded back end of the fork

Paul, you obvioulsy have an understanding partner, i would be shot if i brought in an old oily shock to photograph on the lounge carpet!!!!

Either that or you have your garage carpeted, in which case well done you.

Thanks Keith. In fact the picture above is in my home office so carpet is mine to mess BUT I do have a carpeted garage as well (seemed a shame to throw the old lounge carpet away)

Gees, I wouldn't have put it on the carpet, I'd use the kitchen table, but only after it had been in the dish washer. jocolor
