| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]This is a product from the UK made for cyclists which projects a laser image of a bicycle on the road 20 foot in front of the bicycle. Reportedly the majority of accidents are where the car turns across a bike moving straight ahead and this would mitigate that primarily in low light conditions. What are thoughts on modification for a motorbike image/motorcycle use? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Fail! The bastards just don't look, because they just don't care.
Best option is for legislation to impose 2 years of full motorcycle license before you can apply for a car learners permit.
Take for example, places in Europe where teenagers are allowed to ride scooters everywhere. Once they progress to driving cars, guess what? They are motorcycle aware! That kid on a scooter could be a younger sibling, cousin, niece, nephew etc.
But the cotton wool wrapping fun Police will put the kybosh on that. |

| You're so right Ghezzi. Is it true that in Queensland you have to have a car license before you can get a bike license? If it is that's ludicrous. | |

| A laser weapon on board would be a better idea [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| I was driving to work two days ago and coming up behind two cyclists who were riding in their cycle lane. They were passing a parked car, when the door drivers door flew open and collected one of the cyclists. Luckily i was aware of them and gave them a bit of room, as they were pushed into my lane. The rider didn't come off just took a heavy hit to his arm on the edge of the car door.
These guys had lights and Hi-Viz, not much you can do if the car driver doesn't even have the courtesy to look before opening their door.

| Can't plan for stupid...
Unfortunately many of them have licences and a car. Lucky all of them aren't on the road.

| Not sure about green laser bikes but how about we campaign to reinstate 1865 'red flag act' ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| I like this one: When approaching an intersection by car, a driver is required to signal crossing the street with the following procedure: Driver must exit the vehicle with a shotgun, look both ways and fire 3 shots into the air before proceeding back to their vehicle to cross the intersection. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |
