| Hi I ordered a new head cover for my 2013 GRiSO, the item arrive fine but it was only when I went to fit it I realized it was the wrong part. Sick as a parrot, I was certain that I had it right, I even went back to the website and checked that I was picking the part from the correct catalog, and I was. It was only when I went to several sites and noticed that those I looked at showed an incorrect part for my bike as well. Even my PDF parts manual shows an O ring type cover (for the spark plug tunnel) where mine is a rubber gasket. My vin prefix is ZGULSG. Anyway, here are the parts, the new one is the top and my old one is the lower. You will notice that mine has a recess around the spark plug tunnel for a gasket of the same basic construction as the main outer gasket, where the new (incorrect) one is of the O ring type. I really need the part number for my old right hand head cover so that i can get this sorted. All the best [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| well there is a old and new version so depending on the year you should get the right one. In the pdf is a drawing showing the old and new version. Pick the right one. Only if they have an very old version they don't have the new parts in.
Do order 880127 with it, the gasket at the sparkplug | |

| I did the opposite and bought the later version (for the left side of my 2010), and like Slo mo shun didn't detect my error until I tried to fit it ............ so now I am the proud owner of a brand new, unused, spare left cover for a later model GRiSO and can't send it back cause I bought it on Ebay. BTW, the part numbers are on the inside of the covers .......... anybody need a 'later' left side ? | |

| one thing to keep in mind: the parts catalogs in pdf don't show if parts are replaced with other numbers. They show the original part numbers. So if you get the part that is in the pdf, it could be surpassed by something else. Only who can look inside the online catalog can see latest part numbers. That is dealers and serviceagents. | |

| If you have any doubts please feel free to ask me. I am a service agent and if you are worried about interchangeability I can always loom it up. I would obviously prefer it if you are in Oz you buy the bloody bits from me as this is how I make my living but elsewhere? No worries.
Incidentally if you can't return the rocker cover I will happily buy it at trade price. Sorry of that seems mean but obviously its how I make my living.

| Do you have the correct one yet? If not we can just swap it. I have a lefty with o-ring seal in stock.
$236+ is what one of the new type costs me from the importer.

| many thanks Pete, that is very generous , but I had already purchased the correct earlier 'lefty' from Motociclo (for similar $$$) prior to this thread getting started.......... guess I should have asked here in the first place.
Pete, I'd be happy with a way lot less $$ for the unused later cover that I bought by mistake? Anyway we can work something out on the weekend.
kind regards | |
