Amazing...same questions as above plus does it fill with water when you ride it in the rain ?

I think it's hideous but will reserve judgement until I find out if it works.

its a 1299 ducati termignoni if I'm correct. I had been looking at this for the daytona, but the price made me look away. Nice compact. Would like such a thing if it was quiet.
Correct! The connecting pipe is on it's second gen and the welds are nasty but the third gen will be better and completed sometime this winter. Kinda started the project to teach myself how to tig. I have a A/F sensor bung welded in and the readings look about the same, however accurate they are. I just wanted the rear end to hang out there. My buddy says that it's hypnotic to watch the rear tire on rides. It's about looks for this pipe, lucky me the bike still is as enjoyable to ride.

I haven't seen the price but I'm sure something not dissimilar could be built by the bloke at Powatone in Fyshwick. He does good fab for both bikes and cars. Drop in and have a chat while you're in Canberra.

Why did you put is backwards? No space to get the exhaust pipe to the back? I think it would run a bit better wit a longer pipe in between. Also it would be a bit less irritating while driving because sound comes out more to the back. Do you have the other part, why not use it?
I have some experience:-) Mine is double layer too, pipes come in at front and run to the back, from there back to the front , and it goes in bottom part with absorption damping. But thing is to loud. Even on racetrack where 104 db standing noise at half rpm is allowed.
But it was way too loud and had poor flow characteristics, with the mods to make it fit. I think the GRiSO doesn't pump as much air as the 10k rpm desmo twin;) Although I preferred the look, in the end it just didn't work.
However a single muffler was light (ti) and had a db killer so I figured why not.

I flipped it around because I didn't like the look the other way. The 3rd gen pipe I am working on will have a longer section between. I was surprised how the well the bike ran (beetle map for the high pipe) and annoying volume is subjective, i'm in Harley country and hate loud pipes if that helps
With two of the same units, you could put them in series to make it more quiet. But it won't look so good, but more trick.

Paul's bike makes quite a lot of wee come out every time I see a picture of it. It really is a quixotic labour of love and I'll bet a bus full of beehives it's one of the most exciting Guzzis ever built.
When I look at it, and then the seemingly endless parade of 'Cafe'd' old Tonti shitters, (And I love Tonti's!) built out of a catalog just like 'Screaming Eagle' I find myself thinking, "What went wrong?"
Form and function. What more could you possibly desire?
