I recently had a low speed low side and the shifter pivot bolt was damaged in the accident. How do I go about changing the bolt? Fo I need to remove the whole side plate or is it accessible some other way?
The plate is only retained by four bolts. Pull it off and remove the broken off bit on the workbench where it's easy, then offer it back up and just slip the ball joint into place and install the clip before bolting it back up.
