TechSpec Gripster pads Empty
PostSubject: TechSpec Gripster pads   TechSpec Gripster pads Icon_minitime1Mon Jun 27, 2016 2:57 pm

I have always put grip pads on my trackday bikes to help unload my arms during hard braking and cornering by griping the tank using my lower body muscles.  On the GRiSO with its upright seating position this is not as much of an issue but I still found myself wanting to use my lower body when attacking curves.  I had used StompGrip in the past but decided to try the TechSpec Gripster pads this time.  As usual, reading the instructions and taking your time on installation pays off.  A few pics below on how they look.  They line up with my knee caps where I have them and am happy about the job they do.  If you take your goose to the track and use the hanging off riding style, you may want some pads up on the tank for your outside leg to grip.  I bought the generic sheets and made my own pattern.
cheers,
tod

I need some of these!

Mainly because of the wear on the current paint surface from my knees. I was thinking of getting some flat carbon fibre sheet and cutting to fit, a bit like a tank pad, but i might now look for some of this, good job!

I had used the 3M clear paint protecting film in the same area which did protect the paint but provided no grip.  I had saved the pattern I made and used it for the Gripster  pad.
