With what, if anything, do your "seal" the results of your elbow grease when done?

| Cheer Bill, haven't thought that far ahead, just have alloy polish on stand by 24/7  i think there is a product that repels the water but not purchased it yet.. | |

| Me likey - but not the work involved - did this years ago on my BSA but it takes a fair bit of work to keep them like that | |

nicely done .... if you touch it up occasionally it will hold the shine just fine , not alot of maintenance needed .. Autosol is a great aluminum polish used it for years, relatively low cost and it goes a long way .. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

| the problem with polished aluminium (or aluminum for you north american brethren) is that any impurities there when you paint or clear coat, come back to haunt you as paint/coat lifting, weather ingress, and the same cranky look that was there in the first place. Can't win... | |

| It's a habit i picked up from owning Z650's.. although i must admit i never used every wet and dry grade from 120 to 2500 before polishing.. | |
