| It's an Oetiker clamp. You can use a small screwdriver or pliers to remove them. They are not reusable.

| Thanks Beetle! Oetiker clamps are new to me. Wish there was a cheaper alternative out there for the pipe/tube...every place I've seen charges like 45 USD for the damn thing give or take shipping costs. | |

| Just as an aside, last year the large spigot on the condenser box folded in on itself. This items is made from two halves and "stuck" together. Bugger of a leak to fix and still I can't get my jeans clean. Put in a new condenser box - all good now.
BTW, it "looked" OK until I removed it, for a closer inspection.

| DW, finding a non OEM pipe that fits isn't an issue, I imagine. Getting one that doesn't kink due to the bend required is. Hence the OEM formed pipe is preferred. Although..I just had an idea. Is there any reason why you couldn't use a longer pipe and connect the left cylinder to the right condenser spigot, and vice versa, thus reducing the bend radius, and therefore reduce the chance of kinking? --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| My leak was coming from the hose shown in the picture below. I did just like my friend blue thunder suggested. I cut the hose and forced it back and used a regular clamp to assure it. I also tightened the screws. And the leak stopped. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| I had the same problem on my left hand side of my 2014 last year. I ordered new ones for each side and the "condom". Just replaced the bad one so far. The hoses were about $40 US. AF1 sent me some made in 2017 but I had received one from another dealer that was made in 2007. Didn't feel good about putting a 10 year old hose on. | |

| I replaced both hoses & the condom last night. A leak had started at the right cylinder end and although trimming the hose and re-fitting it stopped the leak, Pete told me if it's cracked there then it's probably starting to crack elsewhere. As usual, he was right. Both hoses AND the condom were perished at the condenser box. In fact, the left hand hose and the condom had previously been trimmed and refitted as evidenced by the non-factory clamps. Again, as advised by Pete, I bought some fuel injection hose clamps for the new hoses. Only trouble is I sized them based on the cylinder head fitting, but the spigots at the box are larger | |

| I'm thinking while I wait for the new hose pipe to arrive, I may just use some heat-shrink tubing on the area of the hose that has the cracks to see if that doesn't remedy the situation temporarily. | |

| When I first got my 07 it had a red hose running from the tank area along the swing-arm and sticking out past the CARC.
It turns out someone had added an extra brass spigot to the breather box, I think trying to solve the spitting problem, I now just run it low on the dip-stick as Pete suggests and it seems quite happy.

| I got my new hose and installed it without incident. Cleaned up the surrounding area of the oil residue and took it for a spin. Appears that now there is a leak coming from the Phase/Revolution sensor thing? Not sure what exactly that is or does but do recall someone having some tips on how to remedy that issue? Or...could it just be that the slight leak is residual oil coming out when the engine gets hot? I hate oil leaks!!!! Also, what the hell is that little balloon condom thing actually for? Seems like an easy fail part. Thanks! | |
