| Decided to look at what the bike would look like with the rear guard removed and a bracket to hold the numberplate and indicators. So i spent ANZAC day doing this, Remove guard [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Make and fit bracket and mount numberplate. I need to move the plate higher and get another reflector to mount beside the numberplate, as i think that the position i have it in now, might hit the wheel under compression. Indicators on order and mount in the 10mm holes shown. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And then, remove the bracket and put the guard back on, until the new indicators arrive | |

| Unless they have a built in resister, it may register as a fault. | |

| I fitted rizoma indicators to my GRiSO. The back indicators needed resistors but the fronts didnt. | |

| So have finished Version 1 and installed everything except the rear reflector and Numberplate lights. the Indicators are the right size and are not in the exhaust flow, but, they are not bright enough. Cheap $20.00 for the pair, no name ones. I have resistors for them, the resistor gets hot after about 30 secs. I have cable tied the resistors so they hang in suspension, but have to come up with a better solution. The bracket i made will need redesigning a bit, just to straighten the angles and the rego holder. Also will paint the next one. All in all, a good exercise, also looks great without the rear guard [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Look up the Oxford resistors for their indicators, should be available separately. There about 2" long and 3/8" square, covered in a thick black heat shrink. I suspect they are the white ceramic type. The Oxford kits I bought came with them. Pic added As you see, I have cut the little 2 pin plastic plug off and crimped some bullet connectors on to connect the resistors which are in parallell with the indicator. I checked and they are the white ceramic type - measured the back 2 and they are 9.8 and 9.6 ohms, so 10 ohms should be good. I guess you could just measure the globes resistance and buy some locally , Jaycar electronics maybe ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| I had a look on the Rizoma website, they aren't cheap.. The indicators i bought aren't that bright, so i bought some from my MG dealer. They are a lot better, and they come with the resistors.
Next plan is to strip it all down, and powder coat it. I just need to do some of the other tidyup things, like making a little cover for the wiring under the guard.

| What did you do about the number plate light? Or just have the red glow from the standard tail light? | |

It doesn't look finished, the end of the brakelight should have something there to suggest it was supposed to be done this way. Removing the guard takes the finished look away. Any with the shape of the guard i couldn't figure out how cut it back and make all look good. Anyway that's my reason.. Everyone will have their own opinions..
