| I'm waiting on the bench for GRiSO. Wife says I will continue to wait until the Buell is gone. So I wait for craigs list to do the magic. I thought I had one the other day but the hook was not good enough and I think he bought a used Ducati SR4. Can't blame him, I would have too. Just wait till he has to deal with those diabolical valves! He didn't seem too handy with a wrench. Looks like I cannot add a picture here.

| Welcome to the forum...keep us posted on your progress. No option to trade the Buell? | |

| Trade in? whats that? After reading through the forum, I thought the one thing I had in common was that we're all a bunch of cheap bastards!
I suppose Pro-Italia would give me value for whatever gas was in the tank, so that would take,.....lets see, I gotta take my sox off so I have enough digits for the math, 4 gallons at $2.75 per; yea $11 bucks for the gas and about $32 for 400 pounds of scrap aluminum. Might get about $43 in a trade. . . . Naaa, Pretty sure my wife would push me down the stairs if I did that. I'm gonna have to wait here on the bench for my prey to come along. I almost snagged that bearded flannel wearing guy from Downtown LA last week. . . . I had his $3,200 in a white envelope in my hands when he took the ride! Damn it felt good. . . . I may be here for a while.

| Thanks for the welcome! We're getting thunder and lightning here in LA, so it could be a quiet week for Buell sales.
Just like buying something from Ikea, I broke down and read the instructions on how to do things; I watched the excellent tutorial on how to upload pic's etc.

| So practice with some shots of the bikes in your list, we'd love to see them. | |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] i think I only have Pics of the Kawi 1000 ST. Everything else is gone and mostly without pics, at lease digital ones. This was a rescue from a brother in law that left her out in the rain for the dog to chew on for 10 years. So there was no rubber or wires left after the dog was done, even the handlebar switches were disassembled and rebuilt. I do have a photo somewhere of the wiring harness being made whole on the kitchen counter. Quite a project. I wish I had pics of all those old bikes, they are just memories now. | |

| I was looking through my pics on the phone and realized I forgot about the KTM. I bought this under the premise of it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission. Well I guess it depends on who you are married to! My wife opened our seldom used metal storage building to find this inside. I had not yet gotten around to informing her of my purchase. Believe me she was not amused. And she never softened on the topic. That placed a black cloud over it for the rest of it's stay with me. I eventually sold it because I just couldn't find any place to ride that wasn't a really long way from the LA area. The bike had also been lowered which I didn't realize when I purchased it, and I never really got it running right until a day or so before I sold it. Something in the carb was installed wrong and it worked really really well after that was sorted, but it was already on it's way out the door at that point. A shame because I still look on Craigs list for dirt bikes even now. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

Ooh, I've just bought a KTM, had to sell my Guzzi 1100 Sport to keep 'er indoors sweet. How was yours lowered? Mine's way too high for my stumpy legs.

| Since there is no link on the shock, I believe he took it to a suspension specialist. Same for the front, different springs, etc. On bikes with a link there are usually different versions to lower the bike, but Ktm generally does not use a linkage. I guess your going to have to buy some boots with 3" thick soles! | |

| Maybe while you wait for a decent deal on the GRiSO, go down to the local lumber yard and pick yourself up a nice 1969 Rupp. Pretty sure it'll run the pants off the kTm.
What?! The guy owns a Buell for Christ sakes! |

| OK, ok. I apologize for that last post. But only to 1969 Rupp owners. Lets not make it weird. |
