| Hi all,
About 9000km ago I met with a young Mr Roper at his office in the local pub and over a beer I purchased a new V7-II, a machine I have been extremely happy with ever since. Before this meeting I had looked at a second hand GRiSO in a local bike shop. I have to admit that although I admired it, I found it a bit intimidating and decided that it wasn’t the daily work horse I needed. (I later learned that Pete had already looked at this bike and I’d dodged a bullet.)
But the GRiSO still catches my eye. I too have come to think of the GRiSO as the current pinnacle of Guzziness. And whilst I could now see myself living with one, I can’t see myself owning two bikes. (I couldn’t afford to buy a second bike anyway).
So I’ll live the GRiSO life by proxy through your experiences, and thank you for it!
Cheers Craig | |

| When I grow up, I wanna be a GRiSO too. Welcome. And I love your description, "pinnacle of Guzziness". |

| Ha!
I just saw a GRiSO on my way home (black & silver). Never seen one on the road in the 'Berra and on the day I make my first post here I pass one in my own suburb.

| Welcome Craig, those V7's are a great bike, Mal who posts on here is a 2x V7 owner ( plus other bikes ) and has some serious km's on them. But, Everyone deserves a ride on a GRiSO once in their life | |

| Don't think a GRiSO is out of reach. Simply it's not his choice.... owning a motorbike isn't a competitive sport. At least not among normal people.... Pete | |

| Yup. Pete's right. The V7 does everything I ask it to do daily...day in, day out. And on the rare occasion that I think this small block might be a touch too small, a spin out to Wee Jasper quickly clears that thought from my mind. For me a GRiSO in the garage would be rarely used and, I suspect, induce an uncomfortable degree of sphincter tightening. I'll just admire & respect from a distance while continuing to have my fun. | |

| Welcome Craig and nothing wrong with a V7. I'll hop on my wife's V7 when she isn't looking and agree it is a great bike. I can remember when a 750cc bike was considered BIG...maybe even a Super Bike! It sounds like yours is Super....enjoy your time here. | |

| I'd put 500k on Motociclo's demo SE (at his request) and even stock standard, I can understand why those who have them aren't prepared to settle for anything less/else. A real hoot. But the V7 gets me into enough trouble as it is - and if I know where they are going, I can catch up. Eventually. | |
