I brought this home yesterday from Thousand Oaks Powersports!
Rosso GRiSO

I asked the tech who prepped it to show me the sacred screw. He said "You should not touch anything!"
I kinda liked him.

Some quick observations.
It fires right up on the button and settles at a nice thrumming idle at 1050 rpm.
I noticed zero popping, farting stumbling or hesitation (sounds like me on Sunday Morning!) at any throttle opening.
At 75 on the freeway the mirrors are clear enough to read a license plate, (well almost. ) Obviously I've been out of bikes for 15 years and my last two bikes were a 1992 Harley Heritage, and before that a 1975 Laverda 180 crank triple, so I'm used to the mirrors looking like an impressionist painting on LSD, but I was pretty stunned at how smooth this bike is.

I was expecting lots of poor running based on all I've read, but in my opinion it runs pretty damned sweet.
Maybe my expectations are just really skewed by my past experience?

From the owners manual:"Twisty roads are ideal to run in the engine."
Hmm. If I go to the end of my street and turn right I'm on the 101.
If I turn left I'm on Mulholland in 8 minutes, and could get to work going on the Scenic Overlook, the Snake and by the Rock Store.
