At my local bikers cafe, I saw a GRiSO and immediately wanted one. What an amazing looking bike, with fantastic welds!
So now the hunt is on. I've read a few horror stories about valve issues, so am after some advice. Would I be better getting an early or later one? Whatever I get it will be an A1 condition, low mileage one. Any help, advice or things I should look out for would be much appreciated.
Thanks, John

Hello John and welcome, someone more knowledgeable than i will come along and explain it all, but basically the 1100's had no problems and the 1200's from late 2012 have no problems but the ones in between have, like mine, just make sure it has an up to date service history in case you have to claim, or like me buy one already fixed and by fixed i mean rollerised cam followers.
the bike outweighs all problems it really is great :-)

Hello and welcome from me too. Have a good research on this site and you can then go and buy with a decent amount of knowledge.
I saw my bike, rode it, and did the deal. So you will be ahead of me.
No regrets, and wish I had found this characterful bike earlier!!
Good luck with your search.

John,
I'd be checking that one out immediately if I were you. I love my 2007 (red) 1100 - 50,000 miles of smiles so far and many more to come.

Hello John, welcome to the ghetto. I don't get the opportunity to ride nearly often enough, but for me it just doesn't get any better on two wheels than when I'm on my GRiSO- what a great bike. Good luck in finding a goodun.
I used to lay over in Surrey, (Oatlands Park Hotel in Weybridge). Great memories, and beautiful country in that neck of the woods. One of my fondest memories was taking in the Vickers Museum right there in Weybridge (part of the Brooklands Raceway and Aerodrome, 1st dedicated race circuit ever when it opened in 1907, for those who haven't had the pleasure).
Here's a cool video of the museum receiving the last flying Vickers Vanguard back in 1996:
I loved it (such a classically British thing to say) when the landing was described as "it seems the aircraft had been a little premature in its desire to touch down", LOL.

Thanks guys. I've tried to get in touch to arrange a viewing..
That is a cool video. I used to show a Mercedes at The Brooklands Museum. It's a lovely place for sure.
