| It's not a bad idea to reinforce the corner there, some shops do it as a matter of course. As long as it isn't arcing I wouldn't sweat it.

| I wouldn't like to see that on my bike, just because I don't trust dealers except mine... If they were to do that, they'd tell me so I don't worry next time I service my bike since they know I'm the one doing all the service. Then again, I do have a pretty good relationship with them so that helps, even though they're over 500 miles away from me. lol
Anyway, let us know what you find out...

| Think some of the guys on here use cable ties wrapped around then into pliers to pull. Worked for me? | |

| Or you can go in from the front with a long screwdriver inserted just above the header flange and lever them off.

you got a piccy ian? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] No reason the stock cables shouldn't last if you take a few steps to make them easier to remove. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2012 MOTO GUZZI GRiSO 1200SE2013 MOTO GUZZI STELVIO 1200NTX - Orange Blossom Special

| I use the Roper Method. Flat blade screwdriver under the elbow and fingers in the end of the shroud. | That was one thing I got out of the dealer that did my bike, they tend to swap over to NGK leads as part of a service now...

| I used a big wide tie wrap like the cops use when they run out of cuffs... I never close the loop, just slide that sucker under the cap and pull both ends carefully. Works like a charm for me. Keep it under the seat for convenience... | |

| To remove the plug, I'm usually also removing the valve cover. I just unbolt the valve cover, and carefully/gently pull it up. Pulls the spark plug cap right off.
When I replaced the stock boots on the Stelvio with NGK, I used the tricks you gents suggested (because I wasn't removing the valve cover) and they worked great too.
