Leather grip tape

alright, I have been negligent in not posting any pics of my bike when I first joined the brotherhood,

so I'm using this opportunity to show my newly wrapped grips, and a shot of my Grissella.

I'm trying to only spend money on things I really need (ok, want/like etc.) and the Brooks

grips and some other custom leather wraps were not in the cards for me.

Please feel free to comment on them, but since they ain't never com in' off, please be kind!

Apologies for the wacky sideways/upside down angles, but my iPad does weird things sometimes.....

I think you should do whatever you want to do. Shame you cannot match the grip colour to the seat colour! Your levers are the same colour as Mr Ropers GRiSO!

The leather grips look interesting.  Am I correct in assuming that you used Gamma leather tape that is normally used for tennis rackets? That is very creative! Does it stick enough?
The levers are a little too green for my taste.

Well I must say that I threw up in my mouth a little and my balls sucked up into my scrotum when I first seen your pics , but I am better now ... Just kidding yeah ........

to each his own but as blue said.... it would be great if your grips matched the seat...
You could try to darken them with some mink or even olive oil if you like ...

I like it too. If you want a seat that matches, Corbin offers material very close to that shade. Not cheap, but I think it would look very nice. I've always liked the look of light baseball glove leather and it compliments the Tenni nicely.

Thanks for the input, boys and girls. I thought about going all matchymatchy with the grip colour,
but in the end I thought that a lighter leather that will patina darker was the way to go.
Got a couple of compliments on my inaugural ride up to Squamish with 1151 today, but each to
his own , as we frequently say on this website, in order to maintain social order and not slip
into anarchist name calling!
The tape, bioman, is indeed a tennis racket wrap tape called Gamma gel wrap. First I applied double-sided golf grip tape to the grip, which is super tacky , and then added the leather grip tape.
The pipe is an Agostini flat black from AF1, which sounds friggin amazing. $800 I believe. Got it 3 years ago. I've got a couple more add ons that I'll get up of my lazy ass and put on, and I'll post some
more pics, maybe even right side up ones!

Did the same. I used mountain bike handlebar tape for it.

I like it and agree that it will probably patina well.
