| Is there a reason not to use the 1400 heads? | |

| We reckon the 1200 heads will work. No reason to spring for the 1400 heads at this time. Adding the 1400 heads would also mean using dual spark coils, an added cost that may not be required. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Cost for starters. Problems with control of the second spark from there. I'm still researching some aspects.

Pete There's far too much riding on this project of yours and beetle's, Pete. The consequences of failure are dire for this community so accept the limited technical advice you get from other forum members who may not know you that well and stop being such an insecure, twaty, catty Aussie cunt! All I'm good for on this is best wishes to you both and perhaps some dilithium crystals and an 80's flux capacitor which I could have to you last week. Oh yeah, don't forget to have spares on hand of those things you may need like tape....glue, ceiling paint, you know, the usuals.

Also probably won't clear the body work of the GRiSO...the cut away of the engine cover will need to be altered due to the taller heads of the 1400 mill.

Pete A little sharp on the response there Mr Roper - my comment was meant as constructive comment. The reality is there WILL be compression-related issues that will need to be addressed in both dimensional adjustments and operational adjustments including the additional heat dissipation required for higher compression values Good luck with this effort - my input is obviously not required

| I think the 1400 motor would be awesome in the Stelvio. All that low end grunt!
Watching with interest.

| So one can call you a Catty, Twatty, Aussie Prick, (lets abbreviate for future brevity (CTAP)) and it's fine. Mention ceiling pant and THAT get's your Irish up? There must be a hilarious back-story. | |

| Every time Beetle posted a photo of his beautifully polished GRiSO parked in his garage, the reflection would show flaking paint on the ceiling. I mentioned it once ....................... Well Ok, I mentioned it three or four times. Seems all this map building for other people is time consuming. Recently he had a 9 week hiatus waiting for his front forks to be returned, must have found a new hobby? |

| ah come on youse lot, stop taking things so seriously! Everyone gets grumpy from time to time, everyone has their sensitive, trigger points, everyone has a bad day from time to time.
Some of us, more so than others.
Remember there is light hearted banter/humour/slander that is geographically based. Not everyone gets the Aussie (or should I say Austrian) humour - just like we don't always get what goes on in Europe, UK, North America (yes there is a division from side to side as well), Asia et al.
Very few members of this board are actually out of line - if they are, then call it - generally an apology is given and things move on. Many of us have a (very) crude sense of proprietryness (is that even a word?)(probably not). Generally we throw shit at each other and no offence is taken - UNLESS you hit the very nerve that makes blood pressure rise, nerves tingling, and the body overtakes the mind's "no don't do it" impulse to chose the living shit out of some arsehole that desperately needs it. Phew I feel better already...
Take a chill pill and relax (please don't take offence at that or I will have to have a little cry). There's lots of fantastic people with a wealth of knowledge here, that is shared unreservedly (that is certainly a real word) for the benefit of us all. Enjoy, what can't be enjoyed on other web boards - freedom, to learn, to contribute, to have fun, to go ride a bloody fantastic marque in the best way you can.
Peace out brothers and sisters - I think I am off to nirvana now. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Surely you didn't take me seriously...

| Mr Mark Beetle Sir!
In the tables presented to TunerPro, there is one tunable table called Torque. We have spoken of this before, though only briefly. Have you found a use for it yet? It might come in handy, if it works, for your torque monster 1400.
I replaced the 140 values on the first two rows with 100 (like in the rest of the table) but haven't noticed anything different. Do you have a retrospectoscope you can shine some light on this with?
Christian/Paul, you both might like to jump in also...

| Trevor I get high on life - once you approach the reality of not being here (or only here in a very limited capacity), you gain a different perspective of the world. Every day I get up happy, the alternative is dark, cold and for a long time! | |

| Back to plan A. Need a Cali 14 motor out of a wreck. There are too many variables. Compression worries me less than balance factors. Too many risks to invest in C14 barrels and Pistons without prior experience of the inside of the engine. If it was as simple as bolting on barrels and Pistons everybody would be doing it. As it is the different crank part numbers almost certainly mean considerably different balance factors which means simple B&P swap would result in an expensive sex aid.

| At least you are prepared to give something a go Pete. Armchair philosopher - I don't think so. Still we wait with bated (baited?) breath for the monster to resume it's head. Time will tell whether it be ugly or not...
That means, Mr Beetle, you now have no excuse not to go to Gloucester next month - 5 weeks if I didn't run out of fingers...
