| I was in a trip to Bulgaria. Nessebar (Vacation village near Burgas), Plovdiv and Karchali. It was for 5 days and took araound 1500 miles. 1000 miles from Ankara to Bulgarian border and back. My GRiSO did its job perfectly without giving any difficulty to me. Here is a photo taken in the mountain village Pmporova. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> | |

| Damn sight more pleasant to head North West than South or South East at the moment. Enjoy the ride!

| Great picture and sounds like a great trip. Glad all went well with the GRiSO! I really like those style of panniers they are big enough to be useful but still streamline and won't get you wedged between cars when filtering. I think they suit the GRiSO for sure. | |

| Panniers are not wider than handlebar. So, they don't obstruct for wedging. By the way, wedging in Bulgaria is forbidden. If police catches you, penalty is €500. And... Police is everwhere there | |

| I've heard that you can bribe them with cigarettes or dollars etc. | |

| Cigarettes for passing red light fine, pair of stockings for the ladies It was soviet days. Now they are member of EU and limit of bribe increased. Starts with 100 Leva (1.6 Leva = 1 USD) | |

| Is a bribe expected? Not that I ever expect to be in Bulgaria, just curious. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| You don't have to think about it. If bribe occurs in some situation, they ask for it. For example : In Bulgarian border, police asked me for international driving licence which I didn't have to have because for the tourists who stay less than 3 months in such country local driving licence will be valid (international aggreement) Even so he asked, and I showed him mine and passed. The car driver behind me hasn't have one. Police asked for 100 Leva and said that this is a law in Bulgaria. Driver had two options. He could return back to Turkish border and get international driving licence from Turkish Touring Club for €130 or....he paid €50 and didn't get any receipt. It was a clear business | |
