| Greetings all and thanks for having me. Have only been riding since 2001, started on the plus side of 40. First bike, ZZR250, racked up about 25,000kms in 12 months. Then looking fir a bike to move up to....choose wisely, Yamaha XJ900. Currently 199,530kms, engine hasn't been touched. But deep down there was a yearning. A yearning for cylinder heads touching my kneecaps. Loved the GRiSO the first time I saw it, but finances would only allow a Breva 750. A fun bike around the city, like riding a 5 cent piece. Met some people who taught me some habits. At first I said it was a lot if fun making a slow bike go fast, which is true. But then I said, there's more fun making a fast bike go fast. First ride on the GRiSO was a friend's 1200, and I was hooked. Soon after purchased my beauty. 1100, Termi exhaust, ceramic coated pipes, FE. Proudly boast of having achieved fuel consumption of 10 litres per hundred kms...... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

Lets face it, you flogged the hell out of that Breva, but couldn't hack getting passed by bikes 40 years older! So you bought the GRiSO and are paying us back in spades!

Well I was passed by a bike 40 years older,...but it took you a while to do it!! But I dispute the fact that I flogged the Breva. I rode it the way it was meant to be ridden!!. - Josh.C wrote:

In our dreams..... there are a few roads that make life worthwhile. But not that many. Quite a few years ago the Bride and I drove a Daihatsu Mira from Cairns to the Atherton Tablelands....from what I remember, that was a twisty and a half!!! We both got carsick. Blame it on the Mira. - The Saint wrote:

Nup. A while back on one of our regular runs, from Bowser A back to Bowser A, 145 kms used 9.3 litres/100km. Warning light came on at 140 kms. Made it my mission to achieve 10L/100kms. Earlier this year, 10l/100km, warning light came on at 129 kms. Ridgy didge. If you're wearing a back pack, don't have the zips meeting at the top.....they will undo and spew your clothes along the road. That wasn't my back pack. My back pack acted like a bloody wind sock. Had a sore neck for days after. And it slowed me down.
