That's the kind of remark that reflects the level of your intellectual ability. It doesn't worry me that you wish to believe nonsense. What does worry me though is that you may convince some others who are naive and inexperienced that you know what you are talking about and that could get them into a whole heap of grief. It's not about you snowflake! For some years you claimed the silliness on the net saying that the failure of the distribution is due to poor maintenance. While it is doubtful a few certain statements. I'm being a jerk to you, but it will make your own return analysis.

| And the fact that I could detect no problem for years and doubted the veracity of a *Problem* is something that I am eternally regretful for.
Unlike you though I can accept that I was wrong, state that my advice was poor on this subject and move on to help others ho are now suffering and/or unaware of the issue.
As it is though it's obvious that you have been doing some fairly serious research into my past statements, further evidence of your sole desire to troll. Good luck sonny-Jim, your whole message stream since you joined the forum has been lifted from 'Trolling Made Easy'.com. The only person at the moment looking like a goose is you!
Keep going though. It's quite funny in a sad sort of way.

Classic troll response. I've changed my mind. I will continue to call you out on the incorrect information and falsehoods you post. | Sorry if I offended anyone, twas not my intent.
Fact - everyone is entitled to their own opinion, right or wrong
Fact - everyone on this forum is entitled to express their opinion here, right or wrong
Fact - we do not have to believe what we read here
Fact - we take from here what we want, and leave the rest
Fact - we try and educate others in our truth, be it false or real
Fact - we do not need to react to opinions that do not agree with our - well maybe a bit
Fact - this is a nice place to visit, spend some quality time and learn heaps, in an open and honest environment
the truth is, that whatever the truth is, I personally do not like to see the bickering going on right now. I know what is and what isn't (well mostly) and am not afraid to back down. Opinions are like arseholes, everyone's got one - some founded in truth, some in fallacy.
Simply put, I don't want to see this site degenerate into another "debate" that had many up in arms on this site, me included. I try to take emotion out of the picture and deal with facts. maybe I am being an optimist.
Mark we can discuss this and many other things in a few weeks, and again my apologies. I agree with you!

| No, I don't think we will. As I previously wrote, Grisology is a technical forum, so information posted here must be correct, otherwise someone could damage their bike. If someone posted here that adjusting the sacred screw was the only way to balance the TB's and they trolled you for disagreeing with them, would you let it slide? Please don't give me all the kumbaya bullshit. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Good. At Mudgee we shall not speak of this. Presuming you still want me to go. Alternatively, I will elevate you from First Toady to the FIG, and you can handle all the fuel injection stuff. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].In GRiSO we trust! . | |

| Recently I posted a plea for 'perls of wisdom' regarding my GRiSO 8v ECU OBD2 K-Line comms issue as I had spent all day on it without resolution.
One responder after admitting he had no expertise pasted a page of Google hits. My Google-fu is ok, and I had already read all that stuff, but it hadn't helped me resolve my problem.
Beetle replied in one terse line of 13 words and nailed it exactly.
Just sayin ..... | |

| Tony, I'm too old for arguing about stuff with people and generally I don't care what people say or do. As Mark has pointed out though the results of giving credence to some sources could result in damage and expense for people if it isn't called out.
What pleasure can be achieved by deliberately trying to mislead people I don't know? But then I don't understand a mindset that would deliberately allow their engine to destroy itself rather than fixing it before damage becomes terminal!

Hello guys. Hello Firstly, I regret that the discussion on the technical subject is completely degraded by inappropriate remarks. Because it's very interesting. Then I'm not a troll. And I think that even if we make mistakes in reasoning, should not suffer offenses of other members. A correction diplomatically would be appreciated. The knowledge of some of you are recognized, and I myself loved your comments in many of your posts. What I will not tolerate, they are condescending and about the high regard of certain person. I make many mistakes throughout my life, but I draw the consequences and learn to be tolerant with respect to others. So I would say Pete Roper, I know that your experience is great, you are a recognized professional. But there is something that you can not understand. The life of another person can give another form of reasoning in relation to specific decisions to his motorcycle. Vulgarly, My world is not yours. I respect your choice and your life, I have nothing to say. And everyone assumes his choice. This is not a reason to make insulting or degrading to others. Too bad openness here do not match my expectations. This is my last post on GRiSO ghettos. Too complicated for me to speak and understand English Good luck to everyone

| Wow I'm late to the party. Reading over at the start mentioned is that losing the trims is a problem, well with the 5am eeprom reader you can read out the trim and put it back in if wanted.
The 100 seconds warmup time was an error in the xdf. actually it counts revolutions after start, and these are 4000 in most maps.
That was in 15m maps | |

| So the trim values are stored in EEPROM and readable by EEPROMTOOL? Thats a good info. Here is older discussion about eepromtool [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]But I wasnt sure about trim values. Now when I will be using "How to get fueling perfection" solution I can create some backup of trim values - whole EEPROM. | |

| Had hi idle issue for who knows what reason yesterday. Still had a tweak of map planned so thought I'd load, reset everything and see if that did the trick. It didn't but while cabledd up I thought I'd try the wideband trickery since all the wideband kit was already onboard. Slightly different arrangement to beetle but same outcome. I have the innovate MTXL kit which has the controller integrated into the guage. Nice as it can output either 0-5 v or 0.1-1.1v. Recalibrated output to mid to high 12 afr settings, turned on Lambda and fired up. With gauge on the dash it was good to watch it do its stuff today - not much for first 30k's then steadily the AFR in a troublesome high spot I still had came back into control range of high 12's just as it was supposed to. I actually expected some hunting once lambda was back on but all seems very good. Much softer from bottom stop as well. Will do some longer runs at higher revs tomorrow - hoping lambda control backs out so I can get the slightly leaner running for cruise to retain economy & range. Hi idle still there so will try carby clean job on stepper too. | |
