The last bits I was waiting for for my roller kit arrived on Friday so given that I've got a leaky phase sensor and need to dive in and organise hoses and mounting for oil cooler thermostats it seems like the next couple of weeks should be the time for me to hop in and sort and freshen up a few things on my old girl.
At 86,000 I'm it's still running beautifully but it is as noisy as all fuck, always has been but even for an A5 motor mine is absurd! I'm hoping that a freshen up of the valves and the roller conversion will help quieten the 'Two cheese graters fornicating in an iron tank' noises. The camchains are still fine but it will be interesting to see how the valves and guides are at this mileage.
The paint is getting a bit daggy too. Perhaps it's time for a colour change, it's not easy being green as the frog sang! the other thing I was thinking of doing was ceramic coating the pipes. Mine are looking pretty ordinary after nearly eight years! I've got a radial master cylinder for the front brakes too that needs to go on.

I've got a mishimoto stat to plumb in at some point, it opens at 93 degrees, couldn't find a 100 one. Shouldn't be too hard to do on the Sport. I'm using a thin alloy sheet cover over the cooler, with various holes drilled in it, at the mo,with another sliding sheet with corresponding holes in front of it,so the air flow can be adjusted, looks like Stevie Wonder made it.
