| That's so over the top, I absolutely LOVE it! And you guys accused ME of going all "Steam Punk" with my louvered oil cooler grille. Hah! It looks like the rattling aluminium flaps on my workshop's industrial exhaust fan that crash and bang in the wind whether the fan is running or not! Bravo! --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]“Danger + Survival = Fun.” - Neil Peart[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| You know, Hook up a choke cable to that and you could control the vanes from up top. | |

| You could make it automatic using the cooling door actuators from a Porsche 914 or a Chevy Corvair. | |

| Errr? It's not my design. It was sent to me by someone who took on board my observations about over cooling of the oil and the need for it to be addressed. It is a fine example of function over form. It actually does what I'd want it to do brilliantly.
Is it strikingly comely? No, it's as ugly as a hat full of farty arseholes! Sorry. I couldn't give a shit. If it keeps my oil hot in winter that's good enough for me. I think it's grouse. Not perfect as it has no indexing mechanism but that's up to me to work out. I was flattered and grateful that someone would go to the bother of sending me something that would be beneficial to my motorbike and make it work better. Being 'Pretty' has never been on my radar.

| Interesting. I've been thinking of cobbling something together like that for the Stelvio. I like it. | |
