Anyone here near Chicago or Milwaukee?
I'm right along the lake in Fort Sheridan and interested if anyone else is near by.

I work in the 'Burbs, but live "Downstate", where there's actually some twisty roads, complete with elevation changes! I can't imagine driving the GRiSO in the city, stoplight -to-stoplight. My commute is 80 miles, each way.

I've done stoplight traffic in the Los Angeles area (no, I don't live there!). It was not pleasant and the fuel mileage goes to Hell. Stay out of the city.

Yeah. Inevitable. When I have a job that allows for light gear, I'll take the GRiSO.
The ride home on empty streets after a shoot at night is wonderful.

Years ago I would ride from Cleveland, through Chicago on my way to Milwaukee. I found it easier to take the Loop than to "to around" Chicago. I did the same thing when I lived in Central Illinois on my way to Toledo. Not sure I would want to negotiate Chicago traffic on a daily basis. Hope you find some riders near you.

Fort Sheridan! It's no longer a military base is it? I went to school for two years in Lake Forest and stayed in Chicago for 13 years after. Last two times I went through the Loop it was en route to Milwaukee on my 850-T in the summer. Not fun - both times I managed to get there right around 2pm on Friday.
