| I am may be one of the oldest Guzzista in this forum. I am 69 years old, and I've been riding for 51 years. I own GRiSO 1100 (which will be my last motorcycle) for 4 years. I like to travel with motorcycle. With a group of friends we had a tour to Georgia (Batumi and Tbilisi), Balkan states (Macedonia, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia), Italy, Northern Spain, and this year we are planning to go to Corsica. We had a great tour in Morocco last year but this was unfortunatly with rented bikes from Spain. From teh first day I own GRiSO, I was looking for tankbag which easily fixes and removes from the gas tank. As you know, since the tank is not metal, it is impossible to use magnetic tank bags, and I hate use tank bags holds with stripes. GIVI Tanklock tankbags (3D603, 3D604, XS306, XS307, XS308) are the most practical and versatile tankbags for every biker. To use these tankbags, you have to buy tank adapter (sells seperately) compatible to your bike's model and year. Up to now, we had no chance to own and use these tankbags. Because, GIVI did not produce tank adapter for GRiSO or any model of Moto Guzzi. So, I designed an produced adapter for GIVI tanklock tank bags. Test it up to 190 km/h, and here it is. World's first and only Moto Guzzi GRiSO tanklock adapter for GIVI tanklock tank bags. These adapters are manufatured in CNC. Material is merlin (very hard and durable type of plastics looks and feels like anodised aluminum).Installation takes only 5 minutes and it is as easy as kids toy. Just remove 8 screws on the aluminum disc placed around the tank tap, keep it with the original screws. Place the adapter and screw it on the same screw holes with the giving 8 stainless screws. To unscrew the original disc and rescrew the adapter you only need #4 allen key. If you like to have one of these adapters, feel free to contact with me. Cheers | |

| All Right. Greetings Okurarer. I love seeing all these different people from all over the place riding GRiSO's. Your road trips sound great to me. I lived in Belgium when I was a young boy (7 years old) and I always like to remember my years in Europe and how much I would like to ride my GRiSO around there. And you are out there doing it. Very good. DM | |

| Hello again, I was in Italy during EICMA 2014 and stayed in Mandello del Lario for 2 days to visit MG factory. Unfortunately they didn't let me visit the factory. I only had chance to visit museum and small shop near museum which they had almost nothing to sell except few tshirts. I am now trying to upload some photos of GRiSO adapter for givi. I hope I can do it. | |

| That's a nice piece of kit there Okuraner! I may have to buy one with the expectation of possibly picking up a GIVI tank-bag at some point.
[sarcasm]Better yet, why don't I buy your whole stock at $40 each, re-brand them under the GRiSO ghetto registered trademark and sell them to the rest of the guys for $60?
I could make a fortune![/sarcasm]

| Well... It won't be a fortune for you. I have endless stock, or say no stock. That's mean that I made only one for me. In case of demand, I am be able to produce 20 units per day If you like to buy GIVI tank bag with GRiSO adapter, I can buy it for you in Ankara and send it to you. I bought mine (GIVI 3D603 Tanklock tankbag) for €79 last week in Ankara/Turkey which Revzilla sells for $105 (€93) | |

| Welcome to the forum Okuraner.
Well done on the design of your Givi bag adapter. I am considering a tank bag at some point and now perhaps I can consider the GIVI. Will have to take a closer look at that one online. It looks quite decent!

| Thanks to all for the warm welcoming.
I am sure I'll learn lot of things in this forum. The problem is that if any problem arose, I have to know how to fix it by myself or tell my service technician how he can do it. Ankara has 5 million population and capital of Turkey. I am the only one who has GRiSO in this city; and obviously no specific Moto Guzzi service available. Piaggio distributor in Istanbul imports only Vespa and few Aprilia. They imported only 11 GRiSO 1100 on 2007 and I own one of them. In case of necessity of any spare parts, I get it from England or Italy (because they are almost 1/2 price of the Turkish Distributor's price). I do most of the work and all of periodical maintanence by myself. Since I am retired from business, it became a new hobby for me.
After finishing GIVI adapter, I now started thinking about how to fix Ducati Muitistrada sidebags to my GRiSO. I didn't like GRiSO's original side panniers. They are so small and not suitable for long travels. Also Hebco&Becker side panniers are too soft and not large enough. I like semi rigid side panniers as Ducati's.
Do you have any other recommendation?

| Welcome here. Good job on your GIVI adapter too. Also, you will enjoy Corsica. I rode the whole Island when I was younger and it was a blast. Killer roads and scenery. | |

...........Could you give me some advice? Just don't piss off the Locals. As far as route, it's great everywhere. Bunch of twisties... Road quality is better near Bastia than Ajaccio but it was over 25 years ago so in might not be the case anymore. I cannot recommend any place to stay in particular as we were camping there the whole time...

| Welcome. Oh, and just so you know. If you were to tell someone in Australia you had a 'Root Plan' they would think you had a crafty way to get a girl into bed! Now a 'Route Plan'. That's something else entirely! And 'Hello' from the Capital of Australia to the Capital of Turkey Pete | |

| Hi Pete; Sorry for mistake. Wow! a single character changes whole meaning. I am just working on 'route plan' for Corsica and definetely not working on 'root plan' for Corsicans. I will be more careful if I meet any people from Australia in Dardanelles. | |

| Wish these were made a year ago, when I was looking for a very small tankbag to hold phone, cash, etc. ended up converting an Oxford X2 to a strap system. Looks and works great. Pleased with the result. | |

| I did the same thing before this. I got crazy every time I wanted to get some gasoline. Untiding and retiding the straps to rich gas cap drove me mad. Then, I saw Givi 3d403 on one of my friends bike, called Givi distributor in Turkey to ask for adapter for my GRiSO. They said Givi has no adapters for any model of Moto Guzzi. Then I sent e-mail to Givi asking why they don't have adapters for MGs. Unfortunately got no answer. Then finally this piece came alive. They cost me more then I expected because of manufacturing few units. | |

| I just bought one too. I miss having a usable tankbag. Have the big MG tankbag, but find that unzipping it at every gas up is a pain in the ass. Also it's TOO big, and the other MG tankbag is too small...
I've been eyeballing the quick release GIVI system for a while now our now that our Turkish brother has dialed us in, it's time to dive in!
Now to go bag shopping...
Okuraner,
How much would the GIVI 3D604 (15L) cost there in Ankara? They run $143 here. Maybe I'll take you up on your earlier offer and have you ship a tankbag too!

| Yah, I think I'm about to hop,on board too. I like the fact that the GIVI has a pocket for a tablet in the top. After the disastrous clusterfuck with the cheap android phone from China I think I'll just pony up and buy a 'Brand Name' tablet for logging. Being able to stick it in a doover on the tank will be a lot less distracting. :-)
