I'm getting my 1100 GRiSO on Thursday.
I currently ride a Yamaha VMAX generation 2, and whilst it is a great bike, I yearn for something a bit more, how shall I put it, down to earth.
How much of 197bhp can you really use on the road.
Rolling Eyes
I do have a little experience of Guzzi's but not much.
All I know is that I have always admired the GRiSO, and now am finally getting one.
Unfortunately, mine is completely standard, and so has the washing machine silencer.
I'll be addressing that in due course and will be picking your brains.
My favourites are the Termignoni, and Mistral.

Congratulations!!  Beautiful machine! Looks just like mine!

(I see yours has a rear hugger.  Nice! (So the bike is not completely standard!)  Smile

I assumed the hugger was OE.
Whoops, and I forgot about the screen.

Welcome bikesnbones.
I also have a black 1100 and I enjoy my GRiSO more than just about any other motorcycle I have owned in 30 years.
You did the right thing.

Lovely. Screen is OEM BTW. An option no longer available. With regard to pipes, if I may be so bold, forget the Termi and go the Mistral.

hey bikesnbones - just in case you haven't plumbed the depths of The Ghetto - beetle is The Guru of the mapping of the GRiSO. Words worth considering.

Just so you know, he's talking about the Mistral High-pipe, not the Mistral reverse cone megaphone...

Now, y'all be cool.

Could you give me more info on this.
To be honest, I'm not interested in performance gains.
I just don't like the huge OE can,
Will I be able to just bolt the Mistral on without any fuelling mods.

In that case, the Termi is probably a better choice. You may find a bit of a hole in the lower-mid torque with the Mistral if you don't remap the bike. In fact, any pipe without a catcon is likely to have a bit of a hole in the 2k-4k region. The Guzzi approved Termi is designed to be a bolt-on without any mapping requirements, and is about 2/3 the weight of the OEM pipe.

Shame.
I did rather have my heart set on the Mistral High Level

Get the Mistral Hi-Pipe! Remap the ECU! It's easy. What's with everyone and the Ago horses hoof? Yuck! Very Happy

Thanks Beetle, but I can't now.
I just got some bargain panniers off ebay.
Practicality has ruled over the heart this time.

I agree with Beetle, the Termi or regular Mistral pipe is your best option as they have paniers clearance.
